Power Company and Permits in Victoria

For service upgrades, meter loops and new service, we coordinate the disconnect, reconnect and meter set with the utility or electric co-op that serves your address. Inside city limits, most electrical work needs a city permit; we pull it where required and pass the fee through at cost.

Inside Victoria, power is delivered by AEP Texas; your retail electric provider is separate. Many rural addresses around Victoria are served by Victoria Electric Cooperative, which has its own service and equipment-pad specs. We build to those specs. Electrical work inside city limits needs a permit from the City of Victoria Development & Permitting Center. Outside city limits, a permit typically isn’t required, but the utility or co-op still has to approve a new or upgraded service.
