Commercial FAQ
Questions Businesses and Contractors Ask
Do you work as an electrical sub for general contractors?
Yes. Send us plans and specs and we'll provide a written proposal. Once we're on the job, any change in scope goes through a written change order before the work is done.
Do you work with facility maintenance companies?
Yes. A lot of our commercial work comes through facility maintenance companies, including service calls, repairs and upgrades at national-brand locations across our service area.
Can you send a certificate of insurance?
Yes. We're licensed and insured, and we can send a certificate of insurance for your files or your general contractor on request.
How do you price commercial work?
Service call and hourly rates are on our Rate Sheet. Projects and build-outs are priced in a written proposal based on your plans or a site walkthrough. The price that applies is the one in your signed proposal.
Can you work outside business hours to avoid disrupting my business?
When a job needs to happen after hours, such as a shutdown or a tie-in, talk to us about scheduling it. Work outside normal hours is billed at the after-hours rates on our Rate Sheet, and the schedule is set in writing.
Do you pull permits?
Where the local authority requires a licensed electrical contractor to pull the electrical permit, we pull it and coordinate the inspection. The permit fee is passed through to you.
Do you install backup generators for businesses?
Yes. We're an authorized Generac, Briggs & Stratton and Cummins dealer, and we install standby systems sized to your loads with a load calculation. If you need power fast, we can arrange a temporary rental unit and install it. See our standby generator page.
Do you handle low-voltage, camera cabling and door access?
Yes, alongside your electrical work. We run network, camera and access-control cabling and lighting controls, ourselves or through licensed partners, so you're not coordinating another trade.
What areas do you serve?
We're based in El Campo and serve Wharton, Fort Bend, Jackson, Victoria, Matagorda, Lavaca and Colorado counties. For larger projects outside that area, call and we'll talk it through.
